Perfect for a lake house or cabin!I'm pleased to offer this lovely
Dryden Hot Springs
pottery plate in the shape of a fish. Made in Arkansas, the Dryden Hot Springs line of pottery originated in Kansas in 1946, but moved to Arkansas ten years later; they are still in business today. This fish plate celebrates Dryden's tradition of creating
one-of-a-kind
pottery pieces; though its colors may be replicated on pieces of the same shape, no two are alike! This is a relatively recent piece, although I'm uncertain as to its precise age.
Glazed in a combination of pale aqua and a rich brown, this plate is approximately 14.5" long and 7.5" wide at its widest point; by itself, it weighs 2 pounds. It may serve as a shallow bowl or can be hung on a wall, thanks to thoughtfully placed holes in the rim of the foot. Either way, this little fishy will make a wonderful addition to any collection or make a splash when displayed on the wall of your home, cabin, or cottage.
This piece is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing or other damage. Please be sure to examine the images for close-ups indicating its condition. Note that there was some residue from an old price sticker on the top fin, but I've since removed that. Plate is nice and clean and ready to display!
When I ship pottery or other ceramic pieces, I do my best to double-box items to protect them from harsh handling in transit; this adds an ounce or two to the package weight, but I hope you'll agree that it help protect your investment! Please let me know if you have any questions--I'm always happy to help prospective buyers make informed decisions!
