    Chatham Potters AMERICAN EAGLE Coffee Mug ~ Pair
    Offering a lovely pair (2) of stoneware mugs by Chatham Potters, NJ. Mugs have a green glaze with embossed American Eagle surrounded by stars.
    Chatham Potters originated in Chatham, NJ in 1941 and incorporated under the name in 1964; in 1976 the factory site relocated to Oswego, KS where local clays from Cherokee County, KS and local natural gas was used to fire the kilns.  Chatham Potters was closed in 1984 due to the inability to compete in less expensive foreign markets.
    Measure 4” high x 3” in diameter
    In very good vintage condition; one mug has two spots where the glaze is chipped (star and lower handle as shown), no other issues noted
