    Description

    Being offered is a vintage art pottery vase.  The bottom is marked but is a partial mark and can see Desert Sands.  The company was located in Boulder City, Nevada.  The vase has the classic mission swirl design similar to Niloak mission swirl.  The vase is in good condition with no chips, cracks, or damage.  Approx. 5 1/8" tall by 2 5/8" wide.
    Desert Sands pottery was originally located in
    Barstow
    ,
    California
    , and started by Arthur Evans.  Specific dates are not available but looks like the company started in the 1940's.  The
    Barstow
    location closed in the early 1960's and the company moved to
    Boulder City
    ,
    Nevada
    .  The company closed sometime in the 1970's.
