Note:  The Alcohol Stove Mat is not a fireproof product.  It is not designed to prevent fires.  The grosgrain which bands the edge is flammable
and is meant to burn, giving a visual warning that the mat has alcohol burning on it, in case the user has mishandled the stove or alcohol and has alcohol burning on the mat.
Description:
Stove mat is made from fibreglass for the body and grosgrain edging.  The fibreglass sheet is first marked to size and then the parameter is stitched with 100% polyester thread.  Then the mat is cut from the fibreglass sheet.  I used a mat in this form for backpacking, but I felt that I had to be more careful as not to have the edges fray, so, I added grosgrain to the parameter.  The grosgrain is 100% polyester, is a wrapped around edges on all four sides.  This mat is the same front and back.
I make three sizes.  The original 4" x 6", and the 6" x 6" sizes, and I have added a 6" x 5".  All three are a bit larger than their named size to the edge of the grosgrain.  It sounds silly to refer to the 6" x 5" mat as a six and seven eights by five and five sixteenths.
Using the mat is simple.  I wanted something to set my alcohol stove on to protect the ground as well as the bottom of my stove.  I take the stove out of the cook kit, pull the fibreglass mat out, put it on a level piece of ground or a flat rock, put the stove on top of that, fill it with alcohol, light it, put the wind screen up, and start cooking.

The photos include a fancy feast stove for size comparison, it's a commonly used stove, and slightly larger in diameter than a bud light stove.  The stove is not included in the auction.  There is also a photo of a Imusa pot, the popular grease pot that can be found at discount stores.
Some photos show an alcohol stove to demonstrate size and set-up, the stove and the imusa pot are NOT included in the auction.  Also shown in photos are the three mat sizes I make for comparison.  This auction is for one 5" x 6" fibreglass mat.
