    Description

For auction is a wonderful piece of art pottery made by Flint Faience of Flint, Michigan. I have a very to find decorative tile and it is done in an excellent theme.
The tile is a nice size as it measures 6" square and is 3/4" tall.
The tile displays a Dutch Boy with his staff and 3 Geese running around the yard. The subject matter is just wonderful and is whimsical of some story book tiles that were also produced by this company. The glaze colors are plentiful and there is so much going on in the tile. You can see the house sitting on a stone foundation with a roof and chimney. The boy's overalls outfit has a patch on each leg. The white Geese are running around on green grass with trees, the sky and a road in the background. The hint that tells us this is a Dutch boy is the shoes he is wearing and his baker's style hat. This tile is finished in a black outlined technique. The glazes are done in a glossy finish.
The tile is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The tile is signed on the underside bottom with the incised "FLINT FAIENCE TILE CO.  FLINT MICH" signature mark. This mark is located in the lower right hand corner with the backside of the tile facing up. These tiles are considered extremely rare especially with this theme. You will be hard pressed to find another one. This tile was made circa 1928-1932.

I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July of this year 2020.
I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments
. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the
    merchandise
    unless it is paid for.
    They are also n
ow charging all sellers a commission of 11.5% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 11.5%. This is an increase of 8.6% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 11.5% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges.
If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
