    Description

This outstanding Wykstra Grand Rapids Teapot is extremely rare and likely the only survivor..  Yes, it is fragile but solid and could use some attention to prevent further structural attrition..  Gerritt Wykstra came from Holland where he decorated at the Gouda factory.  He move to the U.S. around 1900 and helped establish the VanDer Meulen and Wykstra  Art Pottery studio in Dunkirk New York.  He moved to Grand Rapids Michigan in 1920..  This beautiful example of his genius was made in the 1920s or 30s..  The Teapot measures measures 8 1/2 inches spout to handle +/- and 6 inches high +/- with the top on..  It is being sold in AS FOUND condition..    Further note:  The exterior hairline runs horizontal from the lower floral side to the spout and is about 5 inches long with one vertical spur in the floral side..  These lines and very fine and hard to see and photo..Just so you know they are there..
