Description
This bowl is about 2 3/8 inches tall. It is not really a shape - more amorphous. This small bowl is marked with Lilian Boschen's signature. The stickers on it are identification markers my folks put on some of their pieces. Pieces got a number when it was a piece they really liked. This artist was known for wheel thrown and slab functional pottery. She studied with other California potters including Anthony Prieto. There are no chips or cracks or crazing. It looks great.Everything on my hmnpwr site and my sister's 2vegburg site is from our parent's collections. They started collecting in the early 70's, mainly in the San Francisco Bay Area at the flea markets, shows, auctions, estate sales but they also traveled to LA or east to buy and sell. Their interests were mostly early American to midcentury American and Scandinavian ceramics. They also collected tableware, concentrating on California production. We regularly list new pieces that have been stored away for decades.
