    Description

    This parchment paper & wood parasol is in excellent condition, the form of the top suggesting an older vintage.  The images in black include the auspicious pine and crane, the moon as well.  As you see it has a mellow appearance when light shines thru.  The height is approx 19 1/2", the width when opened approx. 17".  There are no holes, no tears, no stains, no writing, no damage.  I suspect it is Japanese, but not positive.  The hoop which holds the fan shut is tied with a new string, the string being a later addition to keep it from being lost. The parasol only weighs approx 1/2 pound.  Check out my OTHER ITEMS/SELLER STORE.
