MAGNIFICENT 7 ANTIQUE CAMEO LOT, PSYCHE & CUPID + MORE

Magnificent 7 cameo lot featuring a range of antique cameos. Highlights include a
wonderful piece at center, a depiction of Psyche and Cupid, legendary lovers who
suffered greatly to be together. Inspired by numerous Renaissance art pieces that
depict his rescue of her. Psyche has her signature butterfly wings and Cupid is shown
with not often seen wings. They float above the clouds, both in the full body, another
rarity, with great detail and a lovely carved etched border made from the shell.
Bezel set in gold filled mount with some discoloration, noticeable from side view,
could possibly be reset; cameo is signed in gold ink on reverse.
Four of the cameos feature traditional profiles, 1 gold filled mount and 3 with silver mounts: marked 800 and 925 and PAT 2066969. The fifth is a very well done floral piece in gold filled setting. Last is a three dimensional cameo ring, marked 925, size 10.
All in all, a terrific collection to wear and share!
