This is 1963/64 Mattel Chatty Cathy Doll. This Chatty is the Auburn Pigtail. This Particular Model is Getting Harder-to-Find.
This Doll is the Correct Head on the Correct Body. No Body Parts Have Been Changed Out.
She is approximately 20" tall and is marked "Chatty Cathy/1960/Chatty Baby/1961/U.S. Pats. Pend/MCMLX/Foreign Pats. Pend./Pat'd In Canada 1962".
All of Vinyl Has Been Freshly Cleaned. She Offers No Vintage Dirt and No Vintage Grime.
She is a Pretty Doll in Very Good Condition and She is Display Ready.
She has a Hard Vinyl Head With Beautiful, Rooted Auburn Hair. Her Hair is Bright and Shiny. A Nice Deep Auburn with No Fading. It Has Been Washed, Conditioned and Gently Curled.  It is Long and the Proper Length. No Haircuts and No Missing Hair was Noted. She Now Has a Clean Scalp Too.
Her Bangs are Long. She Had That Center Separation of the Bangs Going On, So I Have Curled Them. They are Still "In Training" To Stay Together. In the Center, Front Row, Two Hair Plugs were Cut or Have Broken Down With Age.
She has Bright and Clear Medium Blue Decal Sleep Eyes. Her Eyes are Clean and Open and Close as Intended, with No Sticking. She has All of her Long, Black Eyelashes.
She has Brown Freckles, Deep Brown Eyebrows and Cottage Pink Lip Color. Her Face Paint is Still Well Noticed. She Still Has Some Light Pink Original Cheek Color. All of her Coloring is Original with No Enhancements. I Believe her Teeth Were New. This is How She Came To Me.
Her #5 Body with the Hexagon Speaker and the Four Ventholes Underneath, is the Most Sought After. This Body Seams to Hold the Best Coloring and Seems to Talk the Best After Voice Repair.
Unfortunately, this Doll No Longer Talks. Her Talkbox is Still Inside her Tummy. She has her Original Pullstring and Magic Ring. When I pull it, No Sound is Heard.
She has a Hard Plastic Body with Original Side Seams. Her Side Seams are Neat and Clean. Both Shoulder Seams are Beginning to Separate from Age and Usage.
Her Hard Vinyl Limbs all Match in a Nice, Fleshy Skintone. None are Faded Out or have that Overly Tan/Orange Color hue to them. Her Arms Show Some Red Color Dye Transfer from a Previous Outfit. This Same Color is Lighter on her Upper Thighs. This is Very Common.
She has All Fingers and Toes.
Her Head Turns Freely From Side-to-Side. She poses Nicely with No Swingy Limbs.
She Comes Wearing All Brand New, Out-Of-Package Clothing and Accessories. This Ensemble is Very Pretty and is a Good Color Choice For This Doll.  It Was Made Specifically For The Chatty Cathy Doll.
Included is a Floral Print Dress in Teals and Blues. It Feels Like a Poly-Cotton Material. The White Eyelet Bodice is Lined and Has a Flower Button in the Center. It has Lace Trimmed Arms and Lace Trim at The Bottom Hemline. It Closes in Back with Snaps. It Opens All the Way Down for Ease in Dressing Your Doll. The Back Displays her Chatty Ring.
Under That, She is Wearing a Full-Length White Cotton Slip with Lace Trim.
Her Underpants are Done in the White Eyelet and Match the Bodice of the Dress.
Her White Lacey Socks Have a Blue/Green Rosette Sewed to the Front of Each Sock. I prefer the Front, so the Rosette Can Really be seen.
She is Wearing Double Hair Ribbon Bows of Teal and Light Blue in her Pretty Pigtails.
Her White, Round Toed, German Shoes are a Leatherette. They Each have a Generous Sized White Rosette in the Center and are Center Tie with a Satin Ribbon. These shoes are size 89mm, and almost 3.5" L. Chatty will normally wear the size 85mm or the 87mm.
Collectors - If this is a Major issue - You can always change the Shoes out and use these Beautiful Brand New Shoes for another doll. This size is what we now have in stock.

Chatty is Being Sold as a Non-Talking, Non-Working Doll that is Nearing 60 Years Old. She is in Pre-Owned, Pre-Used, Pre-Played With Condition.
Her Pictures Are a Very Important Part of This Written Description. They Were taken in Natural Sun Light Some With Flash and Some Without.
No Color Saturation is Ever Used in Our Pictures.
Vintage Imperfections ~ Have been Disclosed and/or Photographed.  And Please Always Expect Some Signs of Normal Age Wear to a 60 Year Old Doll To Include a Dot here or there on her Vinyl, some minors scratches, etc. This is Normal Age Wear.
This Chatty is a Lovely Doll for Her Nearly 60 Years and She Displays Nicely.
That Being Said she is Being Sold as a Used, Pre-Owned, Pre-Played With, Vintage 60 Year Old Doll. She is Not Perfect, Not Mint and Not Brand New.
