Ned Foltz Glazed Redware Shallow Bowl/Pie Plate Slip Decorated Rabbit Design, 1996!
For sale we have an original redware shallow bowl/pie plate made by the Foltz Pottery Studio in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
This bowl is made in the folk-art Pennsylvania German style of glazing, decorating, and firing red clay to form utilitarian and decorative wares. This piece has a yellow and black rabbit in the center surrounded by a band of carrots along the coggled edge.
It is marked on the back C. Ned Foltz, Reinholds, Pa. 1996, and has the incised Foltz Pottery stamp.
It
is in very good condition, with no cracks or chips, with wear consistent with its age and use.
