Excellent example Pisgah Forest American art pottery marked 1940Made North Carolina American Art Pottery Turquoise Blue Crackle Glazed
Excellent condition: ~3.5” tall x ~4.25” wide
Pisgah Forest pottery was made in North Carolina beginning in 1926. The pottery was started by Walter B. Stephen, who had been making pottery in that location since 1914. The most famous kinds of Pisgah Forest ware are the cameo type with designs made of raised glaze and the turquoise crackle glaze wares.
The photos are part of the description. I have shown the vase from all angles. There are no chips in the vase. The bottom rim is not chipped but the firing process and removal.
