Rare RumRill silhouette nude ball pitcher matte white Mt Gilead Ohio art pottery

Description

The scarce and highly sought after RumRill Ohio nude ball pitcher features a very detailed silhouette.  Note her hair, body lines and setting. She has a fuller figure than the other Ohio RumRill nudes that I've seen. She is situated on what seems to be a forest of trees and she is  skipping high above the branches.  This pitcher is in the all white matte finish called Parisian White.  It is quite large measuring 8" high and the actual body of the pitcher measures over 21" in circumference.  It is a rather large ball pitcher (see photo of the soft drink can for a size comparison.)  This pitcher has three kiln marks on the bottom along with its P4 shape number and some initials made perhaps by the factory worker that gave this piece special attention.  The pitcher is in excellent vintage condition considering its age of almost 80+ years old.  There are no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. The piece does have some moderate crazing and pinholes in the glaze but this is to be expected for any of these early art pottery pieces. There is also a slight indentation on the plain side of the vase where perhaps it was pressed in by a worker's thumb. I never noticed this before and it is ever so little but the camera caught it (see plain side of pitcher.)
