Description
Pictured is a ceramic wall pocket-vase with one main compartment and 5 additional openings. It is an exceptional example
of Sebring Pottery's difficult to acquire Leigh Artware. This Art Deco
design is circa 1928-1935. The design was created
by Gale Turnbull who later became the art director for Vernon Kilns of California. The condition is used but atypically good
for a piece that is approx. 90 yrs old. The glaze is free of crazing. There are no cracks or repairs. There is a chip at he hole
where the wall pocket would be secured. Please see the last picture to view that. The dimensions are : Approx 12 1/2 inches
tall, approx 6 1/2 inches wide at the
widest point.
Shipped with
USPS Priority Mail with insurance to meet the selling price and an add on of special fragile handling.
My experience has been that the special fragile handling has also helped the packages arrive faster than regular
priority shipping. The handling fee covers
those additions.
Your purchase is important to me! It will be shipped with best pottery shipping practices.
It does cost more to ship that way
but it helps keep your valued purchase safer. Please allow
24 hours for a message response. I will get back to you as
quickly as possible. If you have
any questions, please reach out to me before you finalize your purchase. There are no
returns. Fragile old pottery cannot withstand frequent shipping and or extreme temperature changes. Also please note:
PLEASE ALLOW THE POTTERY TO BECOME ROOM TEMPERATURE WITHIN YOUR HOME. HANDLING IT BEFORE
THAT RISKS THE ITEM BEING DAMAGED-BROKEN-SHATTERING.
Thank you for considering this scarce Leigh Artware piece
