Description
FREE SHIPPINGThis stellar example of Sebring's scarce art pottery Leigh Artware line, created about 1930, measures about 5.25" tall x 8.25" long and is in factory-new condition. No nicks, chips, hairlines, or repairs. Designed by the art director Gale Turnbull and made about 1930. (A few years later, he had moved to California to begin work as the art director for Vernon Kilns.)
This speckled and variegated uranium-based orange, yellow, and brown glaze is truly spectacular. And the streamlined geometric forms are stellar too.
If you have never heard of this concern, join the crowd. Fortunately, there is an article about them in a recent back issue (Fall 2016) of the JOURNAL of the American Art Pottery Association (by yours truly). This shape appears in factory advertising reproduced in the article.

I frequently recommend the group Pottery Collector on Facebook. Great place for beginners and advanced collectors to mingle and learn more about all sorts of art pottery.
