We are delighted to offer this rare splendid ceramic vase by Yonnah Ben Levy (aka Jennifer Ballard), from Washington State. This lovely piece features a stirring abstract design with rich colors. It measures approximately 11” high x 3.5” diameter and is gently used with minimal wear. Ben Levy has been a ceramic artist, painter and teacher for 50 years in Washington and Israel. The Stanwood House in Washington state is a unique studio, gallery, and art school which she established with her husband, Chaim, in 1998. Ben Levy is a listed artist and a member of the Washington State Potters Association. She has been published in Pottery Making Illustrated.Yonnah Ben Levy was raised in Seattle, attended Whitman College and studied art and ceramics at the Corcoran Gallery in Washington D.C. She earned a Masters of Art for Teachers from the University of Washington. In 1981 she moved to Israel, where she acquired her present name. For 17 years she worked in studios in media including miniature paintings on parchment scrolls, ceramics, jewelry, and carving in a harp factory. She also taught art in the public schools.
