FEATURES Type: gasoline camping stove, about 300 c.c. volume fuel tank. Special pin inside the nozzle for cleaning the channel. Power: it boil 2 liters of water at 15 minutes. Working time: about 90 minutes at one portion of fuel (at max. power). Materials: main parts are made off brass, other (casing and lids) are from steel. Dimensions: 141 mm height 112 mm diameter. Weight: about 0.86 kg (without fuel). No any pump inside, which can malfunctions. Fuel tank have special heat-shield which should reduce the heating of the tank when the pot is on the stove. It can be removed at very cold weather to provide full power. Works both in the crackling frost - 30 degrees Celsius and the biggest heat waves - plus 40 degrees Celsius Made in 1980s in USSR at Orgeev town (Moldova Republic now).

I spent a lot of trips before with petroleum stoves an 1980-1990th years, some stoves brought me a problems, but most simple stoves like presented
OGONJEK PT-2
and previous
TURIST PT-1
were very reliable at any conditions. When Internet came to my home, I was surprised that absolutely all Soviet stoves were based at famous stoves, it were very close copies of
OPTIMUS 8R

JUWEL 34
&
PHOEBUS 625
!
OGONJEK PT-2
stove is very close to
JUWEL 84
stove, but it have very nice brass tank and other mechanics.
Now I use butane camping stove, but at cold weather I prefer my old
OGONJEK PT-2
gasoline stove...
Economical to operate, easy to handle, with military equipment, survival, ideal for hiking, climbing, biking, fishing, hunting, trekking, trapper, for the soldiers, scouts, police, paramilitary, rallies, events, racing drivers, boaters, kayakers, sailors, natural disasters and others.
ITEM'S CONDITION:
SERVICED, TESTED, WORKING!
The stove was used before it had some rust at the casing and at lids. I spent some time to clean it and to place new finishing to casing and bottom lid. Also I had to adjust and to test the stove.
I had to disconnect the tank from the burner to change the filter/wick to new.
I had to disassemble the nozzle and to place new seal to control knob because original seal was no enough gasoline tight. The seal was changed to new, made off PTFE plastic (
"replaced-and-forgotten"
type).
Rubber seal at safety valve also was changed.
I tested the device with burning (see item's photos, please) at my garage, good blue flame and good sound were received. I used pure white gasoline for test. Photos were taken after the test.
In common the stove looks
nice
for used device even with signs of time and previous using, just examine item's photos please.

prime the stove
I recommend to use special "dry fuel" or pure alcohol... if you'll use the gasoline for pre-heating it will work too, but your hands will black after manipulations with the stove.
*
Safety valve
(hidden into the lid of fuel tank) provides the defense from high pressure inside the tank. You can be strongly surprised if it will executed... it is the reason why you should not use the stove inside tents, woody houses etc. But this system prevents from total tank explosion.
* Fuel tank have
special heat-shield
which should reduce the heating of the tank when the pot is on the stove. It can be removed at very cold weather to provide full power. But at usual warm or hot weather I recommend to have the cup of cold water or to some snow to decrease the pressure if the flame will come "out of control" even with heat-shield installed. Just make the fuel tank more cold and all will OK.
