Vintage 1983 Rick Wisecarver Art Pottery Vase Autumn Berries SheZane Florenz

Offered for purchase is a wonderful vase painted by Rick Wisecarver (1950 - 2002) from Florenz pottery. While known for his exquisite Native American pieces, he also produced designs featuring animals and plants. This vase has a very autumnal feel to it - the glazes are a mixture of deep greens and browns. The front of the vase features a pattern of cascading branches with golden leaves and blueberries. The brushwork is excellent. It is signed by Wisecarver on the base of the vase (photo 6). The base of the vase is also signed and dated (photo 7).
Approx. Dimensions: just over 11 inches tall'; the widest part of the vase is 3.5 inches in diameter; the opening of the vase is about 1 inch in diameter; the base is 3 inches in diameter.
Condition: Overall very good. The base shows normal light scuffs consistent with age and use (photo 7). There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. There are a few small glaze irregularities, which is normal for handmade pottery. These have been shown in photos 10-12. Also, there is one rough patch near the very top of the vase (photo 9) - possibly another glazing issue. It's hard to see since the glaze has a very high sheen, but it can be felt. There appears to be one crazing line right above the artist's signature (photo 6).
