Vintage American Pottery RARE Swan Blue Covered Dish 410F. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
This is very beautiful. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. Inside the lid there are a couple of places where the paint has worn and there is a very shallow flake In those spots The bottom Inside of the dish shows just the very beginning‘s of crazing, but overall this is really smooth and not crazed. The color has faded a little on the outside of the bowl in a couple of spots, but this is just due to age and barely noticeable unless you are holding it up to the light and inspecting it very closely. I suspect this is from the 1940s or 1950s. I am currently not 100% sure of the maker. The bottom is marked 401F. The bottom shows a little bit of age. Overall this is really very wonderful and beautiful. Without the swan it is about 2.5 inches tall. The base is about 6 inches wide. Very beautiful blue color. The swan is in excellent condition. Super nice piece. Obviously this is old and not brand new out-of-the-box, so although it is not 100% absolutely perfect it is pretty close and has aged well.
