Vintage Brass Optimus SVEA 123 Stove Backpacking Camp w/ Cup,Handle & Key Sweden

This Optimus SVEA 123 brass stove has been inspected and tested.  The brass has been tarnished but I was able to clean it with a brass cleaner enough to get the writing on the tank visible.  There should be no reason why you can not make it a lot cleaner if you are willing to spend the time. The original box shows a good amount of wear and soiling as does the user guide, to a lesser extent.  When I lighted it up, the flame was not steady and the stove sputtered on and off.  This can be due to a number of reasons the first of which is the Coleman gas I was using is at least 10 years old and was most likely contributing to the problem.  Additionally, I only added a little bit of gas to the tank, so that may have been a factor too.  Lastly, this stove is very old and had not been started for a very long time, so the tubes may not have been clean and clear for the gas to pass through easily.  Many times, running the stove for a while is all it takes to clear the tubes.  If not, you may have to do a bit of manual cleaning.  Please note this stove is being sold "As Is" with no return.  Please review all the photos.  They provide additional information and help you make a more informed decision.
