About Us
Covet Modern was originally established in 2003 in Portland, Oregon as Shag Midcentury Modern. Since then, we have been a mecca for the Pacific Northwest's best vintage & mid-century modern furniture, lighting, barware, artwork, and other interesting artifacts and collectibles. In 2015, we opted to sell our goods exclusively online.
We are a micro-business, operated by 2 individuals dedicated to providing unique items for our faithful customers. Our interests are constantly evolving, reflected by the unique products we offer and occasionally create from recycled or repurposed parts. We take pride in the items we offer and make sure your item is packed carefully so that it arrives safely.
Covet Modern is an eco-friendly business that uses quality recycled packing materials and boxes. Our business utilizes 100% Green Source energy, and generates less than 12 cubic feet of garbage annually through our rigorous recycling and reuse program.
PURCHASE TERMS
BUY IT NOW OFFERS
We consider reasonable offers on select items offered in our eBay store. If there is no option to accept offers in the listing, this item is sold as "fixed price".
We do not accept offers to sell any items outside of eBay.
We use zip codes to determine our cost of shipping before accepting an offer. Changing the zip code (and/or country) after an offer is made will void the offer. We will relist the item and ask that you resubmit a new offer using the correct shipping zip code and/or country (for International orders).
PAYMENTS
Please finalize payment within 3 days of the end of listing. eBay automatically issues non-payment warnings after 3 days. Please respect our listings and only bid if you intend to pay in a timely manner.
Make sure that your correct shipping address is reflected with your payment. We cannot ship to “alternate” addresses not listed as the “ship to” address with your payment.
USA Shipping
Free USA Shipping Offers do not apply to PO Boxes, Hawaii or Alaska.
We choose the most economical method of shipping to help keep costs down. We typically use Fed Ex Ground delivery for medium to large packages that includes insurance, tracking, and estimated day of delivery.
Alternative Shipping Methods
If you require shipping to a PO Box, Hawaii or Alaska, please contact us prior to bidding or buying. USPS service may require additional charges depending on location, size of package and shipping method requested.
Extra Large Items
Some items we offer require shipment via freight services or Greyhound Package Express. Please check the description for information regarding these services. Greyhound Package Express requires the buyer to pick up items within 3 days at the closest Package Express location. Please contact us if you have any questions.
International Shipping
Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.
Customs fees are normally charged by the shipping company or collected when you pick the item up. These fees are not additional shipping charges.
We won't under-value merchandise or mark the item as a gift on customs forms. Doing so is against U.S. and international laws and prevents proper valuation for insurance purposes.
International shipments are via Priority Mail or using eBay’s Global Shipping Service to ensure item can be tracked. We no longer ship via 1st Class Mail because this method does not offer tracking services. Some items are restricted or have size & weight limitations that prevent them from being shipped to your country. We have no control over these restrictions and do not falsify documents to circumvent these restrictions.
Please allow 30 days for arrival. Most items will arrive sooner, however, customs & security processing may create delays while your package is in transit.

Description:
Large vintage pottery stoneware vessel.  Marked on bottom with flower/sun on edge.  Acquired from an estate at mid-century modern home in the west hills of Portland. Circa 1970

Measurements:
12” H x 5”D
Condition:
Excellent condition.  There are some superficial heat cracks on the surface of the bottom that are original to the piece, and some bottom edge wear as seen in the photos.  No significant signs of wear elsewhere.
