Materials: semivitreous china
Appropriately named Weeping Gold because the texture of this covered dish is just that. Gold gilded dishes and home accents were very popular in the 1950s era. This is a classic coffee table style covered dish for candies or whatever!
The body of the dish is semivitreous china and made to withstand lots of use. There is just a little wear in the gold around the finial (probably from all those finger tips). Otherwise the dish is in very good condition. No chips or cracks.
Base measures 6 inches diameter x 1 3/4 inches. Full height to top of finial is 3 inches height.
Bottom marking: Hand Decorated Weeping-Bright Gold U.S.A.
Excellent condition, no chips, cracks, or scratches.
